After School Club

18th August 2017

Dear Parents /Carers : re Wrap around care

I have written a separate letter to parents whose children already have allocated sessions in our after school club. This letter is particularly for those families who may still be considering it.

I am very pleased that we are able to offer a 5 day per week service of quality childcare and play. Cambridgeshire families are particularly lucky in that the local authority will provide free transport home at the end of the session in lieu of usual transport at the end of the school day.

From September 2017 we are introducing some themes to the evenings as well as the general nature of quality child care and play. Some of our older students in particular have been keen to have a themed element. This means that as well as continuing with general activities we will also be offering the following :

Monday : cooking

Tuesday: football

Wednesday: dressing up/ fancy costume

Thursday: Art and craft

Friday is already full and we have already arranged activities we know those pupils will enjoy.

Our sessions cost £9.00 and finish at 5.15pm. Children are provided with a snack and drink but not an evening meal.

If you are interested in your child attending on any of the themed evenings please contact Afterschoolclub@granta.cambs.sch.uk or call 01223 896 890 and leave a message for Mrs Kelly Hall.

I have also received a request from one family to consider a breakfast club. We do not currently offer that service but I would be happy to consider possibilities for the future if there is sufficient demand. If you would be keen to explore a breakfast club option at Granta please contact school by Friday 15th September (end of the first week back). Many thanks.

Yours sincerely

Lucie Calow
