Our Students

Our School Council consists of elected members from each class in the school, that are voted for by each class through a democratic process held in the Autumn term each year. They represent the voice of their classes and ensure that students views and opinions are shared.

The School Council has been involved in the recruitment of new staff, including the Headteacher, and has provided useful feedback on areas of school development. They also circulate our annual pupil wellbeing questionnaire.

This year we are working with our students to obtain their views on what they would like in their playgrounds, to help form part of our plans for the playground redevelopment project. In 2021-22 the school council members collected the views of their classes on our school dinner provision, which led to us improving portion sizes. The results of this survey are summarised in the report below.
